A Beautiful Day Corner
By Cameron Chang, Grade 10 By Cameron Chang, Grade 10
I run, poems hidden within the confines of my shirt the sometimes i run out
words running down the water soaked page of thoughts to think or put down
my pen swings in turn with me, as I turn to protect the fire on paper. when the city needs it most
drawn on my right arm so i sit in my corner with sun
the fire runs down the arm, not yet bonded to my skin light streaming through the window
the plants grow on my left budding with lilacs, the raindrops and bask in the dancing
trickling down the stems reflections of early woken fireflies
Droplets run down my face, and dolphins seem to stand that should have only come out at night.
there, stopped in time, in what seems to be eternal
happiness
the waves around my face collide with the rain, crashing Drizzle
against the paint, yet the paint stays strong By Kendal Donnelly, Grade 9
My shirt is drenched
My pants are drenched Still crystal lake
My hair is drenched one raindrop
I stand, soaking in the life around me. water now alive
I am drenched.
And I am loving every minute of it.
